Join us in Santa Fe!

Our 2016 Annual Conference, Earth Paper Sky, will be held from October 20-23, at the New Mexico History Museum and Palace of the Governors, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Our conference is currently at capacity and we can no longer accept people on the Waitlist.

Land, sustainability, and water conservation are high priority matters as the language of global warming shifts from prevention to adaptation. As citizens of the world, artists, educators, toolmakers, conservators, printers, papermakers, and historians, our job is to collectively try to work for a better tomorrow. EARTH PAPER SKY, the 2016 Friends of Dard Hunter Annual Meeting, will be addressing these issues and more, while hosted by the New Mexico History Museum in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico. Come join the annual conference as we spend time collectively learning and engaging with our materials, land, and practices. Additional information about our Members' Exhibition, Keepsake Exchange, Image Share, and Banquet and Auction as well as travel and accommodations information is on the conference homepage, which will be updated with new information as it becomes available. You may write to Vice President of Annual Meetings, Marie McInerney (earthpapersky@gmail.com).

Update: we have been informed by some members that the hotel website will not work for reservations. Please call you registrations!

Note: To register more than one person, you must have a Family level membership or higher (Corporate/Institutional). Each person must be registered and paid on the system individually. If you would like to have an additional person at the Banquet only, please select the Banquet-Guest option. For more than one guest, please contact Executive Director Paul Romaine friendsofdardhunter@gmail.com. (You can upgrade from Individual to Family level membership, or contact Executive Director Paul Romaine.)

Registration Cancellations with the Friends received by September 21, 2016 will receive a refund less a $50 administrative fee. After September 22 there will be no refunds.

Paper Trade Fair Tables must be rented separately--please make sure to indicate that you are a registrant to get a discount. If you are registered for the conference you are eligible for a reduced rental fee of $65 for an 8-foot table and $35 for a 6-foot table.

Optional Taos Trip on Sunday requires a separate registration and payment. This post-conference trip, hosted by Jane Farmer, includes a bus trip to Taos to visit the Harwood Museum of Art and the Taos Pueblo. The cost of the trip is $85 and includes admission, transportation and lunch.

Scholarships. The Friends of Dard Hunter is pleased to announce that 14 successful applicants will receive scholarships to this year's conference. The applicants were selected in a competitive process in May. Scholarships are funded with proceeds from  the prior year's silent auction. We thank all those who applied as well as the generous donors to last year's auction.

Questions about payment or registration may be sent to Executive Director, Paul Romaine (friendsofdardhunter@gmail.com).
